Life at La Vie: Pop that color...

Life at La Vie: Pop that color...: Loved doing my job today... I have to share this hair journey with everyone. It all started 10 years ago... Seriously ...

Pop that color...

Loved doing my job today...

I have to share this hair journey with everyone.

It all started 10 years ago...

Seriously though I have been doing this beauty for ten years now and we have almost colored her hair every single color out there! About a year ago we decided to make her a brunette she is a natural level 7 here are the details on what she used to be:

half 6 half 5 in dia richesse with a few pops of blonde toned with 10.12 dia light.

Naturally we did that combo a few times then she let it fade out. It has been a few months since we have touched up her color and when she came in she showed me some super fun pictures. We discussed leaving her natural out and just adding some pops of color to give her some contrast.

I balayaged her focusing on the front pieces, then we threw a quick bleach wash in the bowl with the new loreal oil lifter and 30 vol. then we toned her with dia light 9.11 and 9 vol.

this is how she came out...loved it!! Here is a side shot of her glorious hair!

All Natural

Balayage is truly an art...

I just love it when a client comes in for her first time color experience and has never colored her hair before!

So this beauty came in and asked for some subtle color and this is what she got!

I used Loreal Professionals Infinite Platine Bleach for her balayage with 30 Vol.
Then I toned her with Loreal's dia light 7.23 with 9 Vol. at the bowl for 5 minuets. I am so happy with how this came out. Just stunning the perfect slight change that looks sun kissed!

One Day...

All in one day...

So excited to share about a recent color job I did on a friend of mine Natasha Slayton. She was a brunette (all natural) and she wanted a new look. So we took her to this beautiful color!!!

The color process was broken up into two sets, one was a full color lift and then I went through and balayaged her hair! Loved how it came out!

My amazing assistant Kristi-Lee came in and worked with me on this fun color job...here is a beautiful shot of her before she got her color done! Happy Saturday!

Balayage

It's all about the Balayage these days at La Vie Salon!

Here is what I did...Her previous hair had a more subtle ombre so I went through and just focused on the top and sides and gave her some balayage pieces throughout her frame...

I used Infinite Platine with 40 vol.
She pulls pretty red/orange so I toned her with 8.1 in Dia Light with 9 vol. started at the roots first then slowly brought it down through the ends for the last two minuets of the toning.

8.1 is my new favorite these days it just really cuts the warmth out, It does drop down some of the brightness but in this case it was just the right amount of color drop. This client wants to bump her base the next time she comes in so looking forward to jumping into that color process.

The Cut

Oh Kristi-Lee

My amazing assistant Kristi-Lee has been dying over short hair with a more natural color. So of course I indulged her and gave her the cut she has been wanting and she gave me full control over the color!!!!

Here was what I did for the color:

Majirel high lift- 9.11 with 30 vol. and the balayaged pieces at the tips I used Loreal's Infinite Platine with 30 Vol. I also added a bond builder by Brazilian Blow out to help keep her brighter pieces healthier.

All about the ASH

Blonde Baby

This is one of our stylists at the salon and I have been doing her hair for years. She has a natural base level 5 and of course she wants to be an ashy bright blonde.

I did a full weave on her with Infinite Platine using 30 volume.
I broke her base with 7.17 in Majirel using 20 volume with a dash of 30 to pop it up a bit.

After I did all of that I decided to blur brush her ends with 20 volume for the last 10 minuets of her color process. Here is a picture of what that looked like.

I loved the result and so did she!!!

Meg Moments are coming!

Meg Moments...

Balayage!!!

So obsessed with doing this type of color application these days. This technique is something that has brought so much inspiration to my life as a stylist.

Loving how soft and beautiful her hair is...

This is what I used:

Loreal Infinite Platine bleach to lighten her
then I used Dia Light 8.11 to tone her hair

when we washed her hair out we also used one round of purple shampoo.

my favorite is Pravana's brightening shampoo it is sulfate free and works like a charm.

Then regular shampoo and conditioner after that!

when I styled her I used some Mythic Oil ( Loreal) and some of there Brilliance cream!

Amazing!!!
